Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mops have become more adept, passing our cleaning tests and tackling various floor types. Look for models that allow you to choose between several modes, utilize their charging dock to self-empty, and clean up stairs.
A lot of the top models are compatible with smartphones. Look for an app that lets you save maps, schedules, and select cleaning modes.
- Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The black and gloss gunmetal Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is among the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations available. It makes use of lidar to navigate, create maps of rooms and floors (even multiple levels) and is compatible with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set up schedules and modify the behavior of the S1.
When I tried the S1, it was able to locate the downstairs area, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, plus medium-pile carpeting and a large area rug. It was able to drive close to walls without crashing into them, and was able to drive across thresholds for rooms that are raised without problem, although it sometimes struggled to get down the stairs in one step. The S1 also did a fantastic job cleaning hard floors with its mop that moved effortlessly on its flat side against the floor and lifting its own weight when it reaches carpet or rugs.
The S1's docking station automatically emptys its trash bin and fills its onboard water tank with clean, ozonated water before each mopping session. The dock also includes a cleaning solution in the water for deep cleaning. The S1 water tank can be able to accommodate 12 mopping sessions, however it will differ depending on the frequency you use the mop.
The S1 requires regular maintenance, just like any other 2-in-1 robots. It is necessary to regularly wash out the tank that has been contaminated to prevent it from becoming blocked. Also, you'll need to clean your sensor and swivel wheel frequently to avoid them getting blocked by dust or dirt. However, overall, the S1 is simple to maintain, especially compared to other combinations that require more care.
- Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
Ecovacs All-in-one robot vacuum and mop is an efficient solution to your cleaning needs. Its robot vacuum has 8,700Pa suction power and comes with a variety of advanced features like voice control and smart path planning that cleans furniture and eliminates obstacles. The mopping capabilities of the robot are impressive. Rotating mop pads actually lift floors and scrub it, rather than simply drag a pad across a surface. Mops can also be cleaned and dried at the base station if required.
The robot is simple to install and use, with a clear interface that walks you through the procedure. It also comes with a hand-vacuum that can be used to clean hard-to reach areas that the robot is unable to reach. There are two water tanks which are automatically emptied or refilled. It has a variety of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does excellent job of vacuuming, with strong suction that easily picks up most of the debris, and even smaller bits of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are pretty good, although it can be stuck on small area mats and rugs in my home (which you can mitigate by creating virtual boundaries in the app). Mopping capabilities are quite good with a pair of spinning mop heads that can lift and scrub the floor instead of drag the pad across it. The mops can be cleaned with heated water, and dried in the basestation as needed. The mops are also refilled at the top of the station when required.
- Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was launched earlier this year. But their new flagship model comes with even more impressive features. It delivers outstanding cleaning results and is simple to maintain. This makes it a top contender on our top list of mops and robot vacuums. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a longer side brush guarantee an efficient, customized clean.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, removing fine and large debris from both hard floors and carpets. It also cleaned the dirtiest areas well, keeping pet hairs from getting caught in knots and other messes. The sweeping capability of the machine is boosted by a sidebrush that automatically swings out in order to get into areas that are difficult to reach and a mop pad that extends along baseboards.
Its navigation is intelligent it can navigate through tiny spaces and negotiating stairs without stepping back. It can easily move from one room to another without having to reverse direction, which is a handy feature for larger homes with several rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is less advanced than the ones of other competitors, and leaves a huge space around obstacles. This can lead to missed spots.
The app is streamlined, intuitive interface that should be easy to use for both new and experienced users. The app allows you to schedule and manage cleanings. You can also adjust suction power, mop setting, and look up 3-D and 2-D maps. You can control it via the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can even remotely control the X40 Ultra camera for real-time monitoring. You will require a reliable WiFi connection to use the app and external controls.
- Roomba Q5 pro
Robot vacuums are excellent in removing dirt and debris but they can't reach every bit of dust. It's important to vacuum often, at least once a week. This is particularly important for dust that accumulates in corners, on shelves, and in crevices in your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that vacuums as well as mop, is made to do just that. It is simple to connect it to your home Wi-Fi network and it works with Alexa or Apple Siri.
The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the company's expensive S-series models. It includes the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It is equipped with the same LIDAR mapping sensors, but it is cheaper because it doesn't come with mopping capabilities and comes with plastic body.
Although it's no longer able to wipe your floors, the Q5 still has the best vacuum and mopping performance we've seen from a robot in this price range. It has powerful 5500Pa suction and an automatic emptying system, so you don't have to manually empty the bin every time. It also has a clever app that lets you set the type of floor and schedule cleanings. It also has an automatic water tank refill and wash system that allows hands-free operation.
Its mops are also impressive with their 2700Pa power to combat pet hair and dirt, on both carpets and hard flooring. The Q5 is one of the few robots we tested that didn't have any trouble with high-pile carpets and area carpets, but it didn't pick up cat litter or cable tangles that's not a surprise since it does not include AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
- K10 Plus
K10 Plus is one of the quietest robot vacuums we've tested. It also has a unique method to map your home this allows it to get into corners and tight spaces that other vacuums cannot reach. The device also stores dust in a bigger dustbin which means you have to empty it less often. Additionally, it has washable filters that further lower the expenses associated with using the device. This robot can also detect carpets and increase suction when needed. The app also allows you to mark areas that you want it to avoid and is a great feature.
